YouTuber built an AI hardware aimbot that physically tilta a mousepad to cheat in Valorant using motors and object detection. Read more to know how. Photo by: PC Gamer
Kamal Carter, a YouTuber, has built something that feels like it came straight from a sci-fi movie. He has gone all the way and created a real-world AI-powered aimbot, but unlike normal cheats, this one does not run inside the game's software.
Instead, this runs physically by moving the mouse pad with motors to aim in Valorant. Interesting, isn't it? When enemies appear on the screen, this device will tilt the pad under the mouse and target them instantly.
The brain of this cheat is a YOLO object detection model, a type of AI that spots enemies on screen in real time. This mix of artificial intelligence and hardware precision is not something the gaming world sees every day. These are inventions worth knowing about.
This invention surprises you more because it tries to act like a human player. As we all know, most cheats that are out there aim perfectly every time, which thus makes them easy to catch.
But Carter added what he calls "mechanical chaos," which are slight, random delays in movement, so that the aiming looks more natural. This suggests that the anti-cheat software has a harder time detecting it.
In Valorant's shooting range, this invented device successfully managed to hit 26 out of 30 targets, which is better than most of the casual players and close to the level of a professional player. This means that the mistakes made are intentional so that it does not look too suspicious.
This AI mouse pad aimbot is developed using a CNC-style frame. This CNC-style frame is like a small robotic platform. It uses DC motors for the physical movement of the mouse pad in small, precise motions.
It is made up of a relay switch that automatically clicks the mouse to fire shots at the enemies. These enemies are recognized by their shape by the AI and send movement commands to the motors.
Together, the robotics and AI vision create an aimbot that works outside the game itself, sitting under the desk and quietly controlling the player's aim.
Currently, Carter's AI aimbot works only in Valorant's practice mode and does not work in the game's actual matches. This makes it more of a proof of concept than a real cheating tool for tournaments.
Even though this invention is controversial in many categories, it stands to be creative too. It is part hardware hack, part AI experiment, and part performance art.
His invention raises a much bigger conversation, not just about cheating, but about the future of AI and robotics in gaming.
