Tekkz whose real name is Donovan Hunt was born on June 2, 2001, in the quiet coastal town of Dawlish, England.
His childhood wasn’t flashy or crowded with big dreams; instead, he spent hours playing FIFA, drawn by the gentle challenge of mastering the virtual pitch.
That unplanned passion became his first step into something bigger, as round by round, his confidence and skills quietly grew.
By age 16, Tekkz was no longer just practicing he was competing and winning. In a singular performance at the FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona, he crushed longtime rival Nicolas99fc with an astounding 9–3 victory.
That moment marked the beginning of his legendary status. Soon after, he added ePremier League titles and a major win at the eChampions League Invitational.
His wins didn't come with trophies only they came with meaningful earnings. By 2025, after competing in 57 tournaments, Tekkz had amassed around $672,000 in prize money.
The bulk of that over 56%, about $378,000 came before he even turned 18, showing just how fast and hard his rise was.
Tekkz made impactful moves to grow as a player: from his early days in The F2, to a high-profile stint at Fnatic, and later joining Manchester City eSports.
In 2025, he chose another change signing with RBLZ Gaming, hoping to chase that elusive one title still out of his grasp: the FC Pro World Championship.“At this point… it was the best step forward for me,” he said.
Behind the scenes, Tekkz is quite down-to-earth and true. He streams regularly, answering questions, sharing tips, and building an online community that values both his gameplay and his loving side.
Born in Devon, his support for Liverpool FC came from family traditions, and he even once played soccer on a pitch alongside Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Success is not a straight line. Tekkz has known the bad taste of close losses, nearly reaching finals only to fall short, or facing rivals in fierce knockouts.
But for him these moments weren’t failures rather reminders of how close success and failure are, and how every failure has something to teach us and must be learned from.
Next to being a competitive legend, Tekkz carries a larger than life persona that most hopeful gamers aspire to.
His narrative encapsulates perfectly how a still ember of zeal from the hinterlands, can be telescoped to an amazing life with immense toil, perseverance and modesty.
Young people admire him for the reason that he transformed a mere passion for the sport into worldwide admiration.
